Poem challenge 1( Screen)

I don’t like you. I hate you, I despise you. I do! I do.

You don’t let me meet the people I’ve become friends with, you don’t let me pass through.

But maybe it’s for the best, you’re protecting me, thank you.

  1. Your poem is full of feeling. I hope you don’t mind me saying, but I think you should trust your instincts. Your anger suggests that maybe you are being overprotected?–unless perhaps its your parents?

    1. I really like your comment Janice, not only did you feel that my poem had some sort of feeling behind it but also wanted to give me some helpful advice, I appreciate it a lot and your advice will definitely stick with me to trust my instincts but in all honesty this poem was about our computer/cell phone screens and connections we form online. Though we form strong bonds with people we might never be able to meet them and maybe it’s for the best, it’s very easy for people to lie online and maybe my screen is just protecting me by not letting me pass through to the other individual.

    1. Janice, I really like the fact that you took the time to reread my poem and also check out my second poem, thank you. But it’s also completely ok if you thought of something completely different than what I had in mind. I think that’s one of the things which makes writings beautiful- due to the multiple thoughts different people can have.
